My name is Harsha and I am a 25 year Psychologist. Originally from Nepal I shifted to India during my schooling for better education opportunities. I took up psychology as a subject for my 11th and 12th. Importance of mental health in my life led me to take up Psychology for both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. I specialized in counselling and continued My professional journey as a Psychologist in an all inclusive school in Bangalore India. I have more than one year of experience working with children and adolescents with special needs. I try to incorporate various schools of thoughts while dealing with my clients. Being an ardent believer of Carl Roger’s principle of Empathy and Unconditional Positive Regard, it is my utmost dedication to put my client at the center of the process of counselling. I also incorporate techniques from CBT and Mindfulness while creating the model for the therapy sessions.
Apart from my professional work, I really enjoy Reading and Travelling to gain new knowledge and experiences. Through my work I really try to bring about a positive change in the way mental health is perceived in our society.As an individual I am very inquisitive in nature, and psychology being a great interest of mine makes me read and research about the growing trend and information around it. My professional career has taught me practically how individuality plays a major role in everybody's life. This realization has led me to be more sensitive and aware about peoples issues and problems. Studying psychology has made me understand my own inhibition and motivation in a better light. I wish to import the same logic and sensitivity while dealing with my clients.
