Summary

I have an A-graded postgraduate degree in applied psychology from the University of Calicut. From Nimhans in Bangalore, I obtained a diploma in mental health. In my previous position as a school counsellor at a reputable CBSE school, I was able to train and shape the minds of the students by maximising their potential to become future leaders in a variety of industries through strategic training. I've held a position at the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Elderline, as a Field Response officer. This gave me the opportunity to deal with the problems that senior persons encounter on a daily basis and help them out when they are in need.

In order to provide a secure, abuse-free, and joyful atmosphere for the elderly, I had held awareness sessions and stakeholder meetings. I was successful in starting local youth organisations to improve the protection and care of the elderly. As a field response officer, I had to address a variety of problems affecting the elderly on the ground. The 2007 Maintenance and Protection of Senior Citizens Act was the subject of numerous education sessions, which also covered the function of the maintenance tribunal. Counseling and therapy were provided to senior individuals experiencing emotional discomfort. I have dealt with several incidents of abuse, including neglect, verbal abuse, and physical assault. Field intervention and intervention were done in cases of abuse.

The fieldwork was a really rewarding experience that allowed me to shed light on the lives of many elderly people. Many elderly people who were homeless or living alone in deplorable conditions were rehabilitated into senior living facilities or shelter houses. I have served as the chairperson for many Adalat sessions held by various maintenance tribunals. Twice, I was NTA NET eligible. I've had training in interpersonal and social rhythmic therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I have advanced training in stress reduction techniques, adolescent counselling, psychometric testing, and evaluation.
